Gonzales, Louisiana is celebrating 51 years of being the Jambalaya Capital of the World with four days of live music, fun for the whole family and of course delicious food on May 24-27!

The weekend kicks off with more than 100 cooks in the running for the Jambalaya Champion. This traditional cook-off takes place over open, wood burning flames. So, if you’re looking for the most authentic plate of jambalaya, you are sure to find it here. There is even have a mini-pot competition for kids! Take a stroll through the cooking area to chat with the chefs as they tend to their pots and maybe even pick up a few tips and tricks to try at home.

With 27 live music performances over three days you are sure to find a tune that will get your feet tappin’ and maybe even circle the dance floor a time or two. Enjoy the sounds of Chris Leblanc & Jonathan “Boogie” Long, Chase Tyler and Rockin’ Dopsie just to name a few.

Alongside the delicious jambalaya, the festival serves up a carnival, a pageant and a car show! The carnival opens on Thursday evening and runs through Sunday with the queen’s contest on Saturday morning. If you attend the festival on Sunday you’ll have the chance to view some classic cars and the most unique mini bikes from 3G Fabrication.

Throughout the weekend the field of cooks will get narrowed, finishing out with the announcement of the semi-final winners Sunday morning and the finalists and champion announced Sunday evening. This one-of-a-kind festival is sure to #FeedYourSoul in a way #OnlyLouisiana can.
