Cyclists will enjoy the challenge of the rolling hills of the park as a starting point for biking excursions into the steep inclines and scenic beauty of north Louisiana. Piney forests, rolling hills, five fishing piers, and a beautiful, 15,000-acre lake draw visitors to this quiet, majestic state park, which covers 655 acres. Boating and fishing are very popular here, where record freshwater catches of bass, crappie, catfish and bream have occurred. Towering pines and diverse wildlife populate the park. Bring your binoculars and camera.
Cabins and improved campsites welcome overnighters. Other amenities include picnic areas and lighted tennis courts. From Ruston, take Highway 33 north to Farmerville, then west on Highway 2 to Evergreen Road. Go left one-third of a mile on Evergreen Road to the park.
