Louisiana I-10 Golf Itinerary

Day 1 – Land at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and play a quick round on the par 62 *Golf Club at Audubon Park. After a round of golf, dine in New Orleans at any number of great spots from fine dining to a hole-in-the-wall. Stay in New Orleans at a historic hotel in the French Quarter or a convenient hotel along Canal Street.
 

Day 2 – Drive north/west on Interstate 10 towards Baton Rouge and play a mid-morning round at *Santa Maria Golf Course in Baton Rouge. Overnight in Baton Rouge, Louisiana’s state capitol, enjoy dynamic cuisine, upscale shopping, great live music, casinos, eclectic museums, and the excitement of big-time college football, there’s even Topgolf if you are still in the mood to keep swinging golf clubs.
 

Day 3 – Continue west on Interstate 10 to Lafayette and play *The Wetlands Golf Course. Your night in Lafayette will be an evening to remember, dine where homegrown chefs put a fresh spin on time-honored Cajun recipes, which mesh perfectly with unique live music venues that showcase Cajun and zydeco music.
 

Day 4 – Continue west on I-10 to Lake Charles with a detour to play 18-holes at *Koasati Pines Golf Club in Kinder. After golf, get back en route to Lake Charles, with a must-stop just off the Interstate in Lacassine at Bayou Rum’s Distillery for a memorable tour and tasting. Bayou Rum’s Distillery utilizes traditional methods with state-of-the-art technology and homegrown sugarcane to earn its title of #1 Craft Rum in America. Stretch your legs, tour and taste and then continue on to Lake Charles to spend two nights at one of Lake Charles’ casino resorts, where you can enjoy world-class spas, high-end shopping and exciting entertainment.
 

Day 5 – Play 18 holes at *Gray Plantation Golf Club before trekking along the delicious Boudin Trail and visiting Crying Eagle Brewery Company, a full-scale craft brewing venue, then dine in any of the local Lake Charles restaurants and savor the bold spices and flavorful cuisine that makes Lake Charles a great foodie town.
 

Day 6 – Play 18-holes at the Country Club at the Golden Nugget or Contraband Bayou Golf Club at L’Auberge Casino Resort, before heading out of Lake Charles and back east on Interstate 10 to New Orleans, where you’ll spend two more nights.
 

Day 7 – After breakfast in a New Orleans hotel of your choice, play a morning round at Pete Dye’s masterpiece, *TPC Louisiana, spend the afternoon strolling down Magazine Street or enjoying one of the many museums and art galleries the Big Easy has to offer, then enjoy a dinner cruise before strolling the streets in and around the French Quarter enjoying the various musical entertainment New Orleans has to offer.
 

Day 8 – Play 18 holes at *Bayou Oaks at City Park – South Course. Depart from the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport.
