Moonlight Paddle in Manchac Swamp

Join Canoe & Trail Adventures at 4:30 p.m. for a winding paddle through a scenic cypress-lined bayou to arrive at Lake Maurepas for sunset. Paddlers can enjoy their evening meal while watching twilight arrive. Once dark the group will begin paddling back. The 10-day-old moon overhead wil provide light, and mideway back the group will pause to listen for the sounds of the swamp. While in spring the wetlands are filled with sounds in the evening, autumn is entirely different.
