Minden

Minden celebrates its German heritage with the Fasching Karneval and Parade—Fasching being the German version of Mardi Gras. This festival features German food, live music, three beer gardens and a parade at dusk.

Jennings

This family-focused event is designed to promote Cajun music, featuring diatonic nine and 10-button accordions and judges from the Cajun music industry. A parade, food and bands follow this event.

Iberia Parish

Savor the difference in Iberia Parish with unique Mardi Gras events such as Grand Marais in Jeanerette. Featuring an elaborate revelry, Grand Marais celebrates everything that makes Carnival so memorable.

Monroe

Discover colorful floats, beads, masks and fun for the whole family with the Krewe of Janus Children’s Parade, the Krewe of PAWS Parade along Antique Alley and the Krewe of Janus Mardi Gras Parade in the evening.

St. Landry Parish

St. Landry Parish continues Courir de Mardi Gras, a century-old tradition in the rural areas of Eunice. Join the all-ages chicken run or visit nearby Opelousas for its Lundi Gras party on Monday and parade on Tuesday.

Natchitoches

The oldest city in Louisiana celebrates the biggest party in Louisiana. Come join the fun with the Krewe of Wag-Uns Parade for pets and children and the Krewe of Dionysos parade on Saturday, Feb. 14.

Lafayette
