Bayou Jean de Jean

To paddle Bayou Jean de Jean just north of the town of Boyce, paddlers can put in at the Corps of Engineers Boyce landing on the Red River. Since both the landing and the entrance to the bayou are in an oxbow, paddlers are not exposed to the river currents. Due to a small log jam, only about two miles of the bayou are passable from the oxbow.
