The La Northshore Quilt Trail, a free driving tour through the 5 parishes north of Lake Pontchartrain, displays 125+ outdoor painted quilt blocks that represent the personality of the blocks' owner whether business or residence. Maps are available online. Printed maps are available at every state welcome center. The images are explained on the LNQT website as well as in a booklet entitled "On the QT: Stories & Tributes along the LNQT" available free at the Tangipahoa Tourist Center, I-55.
Driving maps of the La. Northshore Quilt Trail are available at the Quilt Trail Shoppe in downtown Ponchatoula only one block west of the RR tracks and one block south of the main thoroughfare through town, Pine Street (Hwy. 22). Downtown is accessible directly off of I-55 from New Orleans or I-12 from Baton Rouge.
