Located in a former Kansas City Southern passenger train depot, the Beauregard Museum is a must-see for history-lovers. The museum tells the history of early DeRidder, sawmills and of life in what was once "No Man's Land." The collection includes handmade tools, items from rural life, antique furniture, Native American artifacts, artwork, stained glass, curiosities and more. Train fans will enjoy checking out the stainless-steel caboose in the courtyard. The museum is located near flea and antiques shopping, restaurants, an art gallery and other attractions. The museum also has restrooms and a small gift shop. Guided or self-guided tours.
