Film still from the set of Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire, filmed in the greater New Orleans area

The first season of the latest reimagining of Anne Rice’s best-selling novel filmed completely in the greater New Orleans area, staying true to the setting of Louis and Lestat’s tempestuous relationship. While Storyville had to be built as a set, since the buildings in this area were mostly demolished the Great Depression, much of the series used existing buildings, one of New Orleans’ many cemeteries, and the instantly-recognizable Jackson Square. Sit on a bench in front of St. Louis Cathedral and watch the world stroll by, just like Louis, Claudia, and Lestat did for decades. But please don’t bite the tourists (or anyone else, for that matter).
