The City of New Roads Visitor's Center welcomes all visitors to honor the history of one of the oldest settlements in the Mississippi River Valley while offering learning and fun in the present. Enjoy a Mardi Gras display that details the history of Fat Tuesday in the second oldest Mardi Gras in the state. The antique boat motor display draws sailors and fisherman and boasts a motor that was in the D-Day invasion in World War II. World-renowned artist, Henry Watson, has created a workspace and display where he demonstrates his unique combination of wood-carving and painting to visitors from near and far. The City of New Roads Visitor's center is home to Moby, a 13 foot long alligator waiting to take a selfie with anyone who dares. Located in the heart of downtown New Roads, the Visitor's Center has something for everyone!
