Location

200-600 Blks of Columbia Street
Covington LA 70433

A juried show of original works with some 200 artists from more than 22 states. Tent after colorful tent ranged along Columbia Street in historic downtown Covington, Louisiana, where the fun starts with art and goes on for two wonderful days. Arts and crafts demonstrations. Music. Food. And lots of activities just for kids. All free.

Since 1997, the Three Rivers Art Festival has attracted a sophisticated, knowledgeable buying public in the Greater New Orleans area, South Louisiana and the Gulf Coast, and a talented group of artists and fine craftsmen and -women working in disciplines of ceramics, paintings, photography, fiber art, woodworking, metalwork, sculptures, jewelry and more.

This festival serves to expand and enhance St. Tammany's reputation as an arts-oriented community and Mecca for artists and art lovers, drawing thousands each year. Columbia Street, along which the artists' booths run and the music plays, is filled with art throughout the year, from multiple galleries to art supplies. The festival also supports art education for St. Tammany Parish school children by hosting a student art competition displayed during the festival, thereby inspiring and encouraging children of all ages to experiment with and create art. At the festival itself, the Children's Area offers hands-on activities, and the Arts Alive! program provides live demonstrations by exhibiting artists during the day, so kids can either watch or participate in artistic creation.
