Giant Omelette Celebration
A unique two-day family festival includes a juried art show, egg games, great Cajun food, and music. Antique farm implement and car show, charity bike ride. Sunday morning opens with a French mass at St. Mary Magdalen church. Sunday's main event is the procession of chefs to the 12' skillet where they cook a 5,000 + egg Omelette in a 12' skillet over an open fire. 600 egg children's Omelette cooked alongside the main event. Sunday's cooking begins around 1:30 PM and ends at 4:30 PM. An international event.
