Dulac

Dulac is a small Cajun Country village located due south of Houma, surrounded by picture-perfect south Louisiana swampland.

The name Dulac comes from the French "du lac" — literally, of the lake — and indeed, Dulac is situated between numerous lakes, canals and bayous. It's known as a prime fishing destination to charter boat operators. In Dulac, you can board a boat and be in the wild, wet backcountry in minutes, fishing for redfish, speckled trout and black drum; or you could go further out into the depths to catch mackerel, cobia and grouper.
