Albany

Albany is a small town in Livingston Parish, on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain. The city's name comes from Natalbany, a Choctaw word and river that runs through the city. Albany residents wanted to name the city Natalbany, but, as there was already another nearby settlement with that name, they settled for this shortened version.
Albany attractions include Mrs. Heather's Strawberry Patch, a pick-your-own farm that's popular among families.
