Places to Stay in Broussard Louisiana

Louisiana’s hotels and lodging range from glorious casinos and full service resorts to luxury hotels, quaint B&Bs and scenic cabins. Whether it’s a city hotel or a state park cabin, Louisiana’s accommodations provide a diverse variety of places to stay. And, you will find plenty of great entertainment and dining options wherever you stay.

Broussard is in the heart of Cajun Country, as evidenced by the 14 percent of residents who still speak French. There’s also its claim to original Cajun ancestry: the town’s history dates to circa 1876, when namesake Valsin Broussard, a descendant of one of the first 200 Acadians to move to Louisiana, built his house downtown. The city is today home to at least 15 turn-of-the-century Queen Anne Revival residences, all within blocks of the Broussard house. After you check out downtown Broussard, be sure to stop by the Zoo of Acadiana: Zoosiana as well as Parish Brewing Company, which offers free brewery tours on Saturday afternoons.
