4th of July fireworks over Baton Rouge

This year, don’t settle for a backyard hotdog and small-time sparkler display. There’s no need with the variety of Fourth of July events planned all around Louisiana—from parades and spectacular fireworks displays to bumping live music and everything in-between.

Independence Day Fireworks and Activities

New Orleans: Celebrate at Faubourg Brewery's Red, White & Blues Fest, which features a Blues lineup, waterslide, delicious food vendors, yard games and even a hot dog eating competition!

Metairie: Stop by the Uncle Sam Jam to celebrate Independence Day at the beautiful Lafreniere Park. Catch live music from top local and national acts, delicious food and a breathtaking fireworks show.

Mandeville: The Northshore area's Light Up the Lake Independence Day Celebration is filled with live entertainment, a patriotic tribute, kids tent, games, face painting, food trucks and of course fireworks.

Baton Rouge: Don’t miss the annual Fireworks Extravaganza Show in Downtown Baton Rouge on the mighty Mississippi River. Check out more festive events in the area here, including concerts, parades, and more.

New Roads: The City of New Roads Independence Day Celebration has live entertainment, hot air balloons, face painting, snowballs, a spectacular fireworks display over False River and a unique patriotic boat parade.

Erath: There’s lots to do at this Fourth of July Celebration - including carnival rides, fais-do-dos, water fights, a fun run, parade and fireworks.

Broussard: Check out the Broussard Independence Day Festival complete with kids' activities, a DJ, live music and fireworks. 

Scott: This free Independence Day Celebration offers food and beverages, live music and fireworks.

Lake Charles: See the annual July 4th Red, White, Blue & You Festival. Bring blankets or lawn chairs to comfortably view the fireworks which will be choreographed to music and played on speakers along the lakefront.

Marksville: Enjoy the popular 4th of July Parade - featuring bands, dance groups, cheer teams, pageant queens, princesses and more.

Shreveport: Thanks to KTBS Freedom Fest, fireworks will be displayed in Festival Plaza across from Sci-Port, with red, white, and blue lights on the Bakowski/Texas St. Bridge serving as a backdrop.

Monroe: Celebrate 4th of July with Monroe and West Monroe's July 4th Fireworks from the Endom Bridge over the Ouachita River.

Youngsville: Head over to Sugar Mill Pond on July 3 for the Youngsville Independence Celebration. Enjoy music by Radio Zydeco, pop-up vendors, kids activities and a massive fireworks show.
