4th of July fireworks over Baton Rouge

This year, don’t settle for a backyard hotdog and small-time sparkler display. There’s no need with the variety of Fourth of July events planned all around Louisiana—from parades and spectacular fireworks displays to a music festival drawing some of the industry’s biggest names.

North Louisiana

Shreveport: Shreveport has a list of ways to celebrate Independence day. Pair your brew with live music at Red River Brewing, partake in the Sportspectrum Firecracker 5K, or shop around the Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets and stick around for fireworks. Get all the details here.

Monroe: Celebrate 4th of July with the city of Monroe and West Monroe's July 4th Fireworks from the Endom Bridge over the Ouachita River.

Central Louisiana

Pineville: Catch the Fireworks Over Buhlow and enjoy food and beverage vendors, water slides for the kiddos, live music and a fireworkd show over Lake Buhlow. 

South Louisiana

New Orleans: Celebrate at Faubourg Brewery's Red, White & Blues Fest, which features a Blues lineup, waterslide and kids' zone, delicious food vendors and yard games. You can also celebrate aboard the Riverboat Louis Armstrong during their 4th of July Weekend festivities, which include Jazz Brunch with a Mardi Gras Indian Performance, dinner with a live Jazz band and more.

Metairie: Stop by the Uncle Sam Jam to celebrate Independence Day at the beautiful Lafreniere Park. Catch live music from top local and national acts, delicious food and a breathtaking fireworks show.

Baton Rouge: The historic battleship USS KIDD is the setting for a one-of-a-kind experience at Patriots & Pirates: A Revolutionary Celebration. Tickets give access to the museum, food and beverages, and the best view of fireworks on the Mississippi River.

New Roads: The New Roads 4th of July Festival has live entertainment, a spectacular firework display over False River and aunique patriotic boat parade.

New Iberia: Stroll the charming Main Street of New Iberia for their 4th of July Parade, Honor Guard ceremony and fireworks display. West of New Iberia, Erath hosts its Fourth of July Celebration with carnival rides, fais-do-dos, a fun run and fireworks.

Lake Charles: See the annual July 4th Red, White, Blue & You Festival. Bring blankets or lawn chairs to comfortably view the fireworks which will be choreographed to music and played on speakers along the lakefront.

Broussard: Check out the Broussard Independence Day Festival complete with kids' activities, a DJ, live music and fireworks.
