Barry Landry is the director of communications for the Louisiana Office of Tourism. Prior to working in tourism, he spent six years with the Louisiana Department of Education and nearly 20 years in television news, serving as a producer, reporter and assistant news director, garnering numerous awards along the way. Away from the office, Landry is an avid golfer having played 14 of the 16 courses on the Audubon Golf Trail before coming to the Louisiana Office of Tourism. Additionally, his stellar short game helped him take first place at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon National Amateur Golf Tournament in 2015 and 2016. Raised in the New Orleans area, Landry now lives in Denham Springs though Lafayette holds a special place in his heart.
