Enjoy some of the finest singletrack riding in Louisiana at the Bodcau Recreation Area. The biking trail originally served as a hiking and nature trail that was redesigned with mountain bikers in mind. The trail is excellent for those who want a taste of big-hill riding and a good workout.

Located in the Bayou Bodcau Dam and Reservoir, the trail is operated and maintained by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a multi-use project. The recreation area covers more than 34,000 acres of public land, providing opportunities for numerous outdoor activities, including: hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, biking, canoeing, horseback riding, bird watching and more.

When you’re ready to cool off, head to Louisiana State Exhibit Museum and explore the history of Louisiana, or grab a pint at local breweries such as Flying Heart Brewing & Pub or Great Raft Brewing.
