Property Description

In October, the enthusiastic crowds, once again flow through the front entrance into our beautiful fair grounds to enjoy the Washington Parish Free Fair. It is a family fair. Folks come from all over the country to enjoy the excellent exhibits. There is the Mile Branch Settlement. Here the visitor will be heartily welcomed by the many costumed hosts and experience a trip into our past as he visits the various log cabins and buildings filled with antiques and hospitality. Opening Ceremonies and Queen contest held Tuesday evening. Fair kicks off officially with parade at 10 am through the streets of Franklinton, making its way to the fairgriounds.
