Fireworks in Baton Rouge

The annual celebration takes place on the Baton Rouge Riverfront Stage between the USS KIDD Veterans Memorial & Museum, and Red Stick Plaza. Live musical entertainment fills the afternoon and evening, with many food vendors on hand. Favorite items range from alligator-on-a-stick to shrimp po-boys.

Additional entertainment comes in the form of the USS KIDD herself, which is open for tours throughout the day. Stick around afterward, because one of the highlights of the evening is always an aerial re-enactment featuring World War II aircraft "attacking" the ship.

The festivities wrap up that night with a massive fireworks display over the majestic Mississippi River. Celebrate our nation’s independence at Red Stick’s biggest party.
