Visit original slave cabins and dependencies and see many exhibits about sugarcane and early life on this sugar plantation. Open Monday - Saturday, first tour at 9:30am, last tour at 3:00pm. "Mourning Tour" featuring the customs of 19th Century Croele Mourning runs October1- November 2 An authentic tour of a Croele sugar plantation. Many guides are descendants.

From New Orleans I-10 West to I-310 exit 220 (Boutte). Continue on 310 across bridge. Take Hwy. 3127 exit 10 (Donaldsonville) for 23 miles to Hwy. 20. Turn right on Hwy. 20 to Hwy. 18(River Road). Left on Hwy. 18, 2.6 miles. From Baton Rouge take I-10 East to exit 194 (Gramercy). Take Hwy. 641 South across the Mississippi River. Turn left onto Hwy. 18 (River Road), 6.9 miles. From Thibodaux take Hwy. 20 to Hwy. 18 (River Road). Turn left on Hwy. 18, 2.6 miles.
