The Crawfish Tales Book Series

The Crawfish Tales book series are engagingly written; beautifully illustrated children's books that take kids on adventures with Moby, the largest, most kind-hearted crawfish in the South. The books are all Accelerated Reading books. Dee Scallan, the author, owns and operates a Montessori Pre-K for the past 27 years. The illustrator of the book series, Daniel Myers, is an eleven-year-old former student of Ms. Dee's Montessori School. Daniel illustrated the first book, Moby Pincher's Wonderful Christmas Present at the early age of eight years old. It is Ms. Dee's hope that children will be entertained by Moby's antics, while learning about the unique culture of the bayou and land of Louisiana fostering young environmentalist throughout the country. Thus far the series includes Moby Pincher's Wonderful Christmas Present, Moby Pincher's Special Easter Party, Moby Pincher's Hurricane Adventure, Moby Pincher's Black Bayou Lake Adventure, Moby Pincher's New Orleans Adventure, and Moby Pincher's Texas Adventure.
