Property Description

Built for a wealthy sugar planter in 1834, Shadows-on-the-Teche was home to four generations before becoming a National Trust Historic Site. Live Oaks draped with Spanish Moss cast shadows on house, gardens and Bayou Teche. Family furnishings and letters present an authentic "picture of the life" for visitors to this National Historic Landmark.

Directions

Take US 90 to exit 128 towards New Iberia on Hwy 14. Take Hwy 14 into New Iberia (it becomes Center St.). At Main St, (Hwy 182 W.) turn left, Plantation home immedately on right Shadows-on-the-Teche Visitor Center and parking on left.
