Part of the African-American Trails, Sager Brown School was founded in 1867 as a refuge for freed slaves and their children. Beginning as an orphanage, the institution grew into an education facility and became nationally recognized as a source of quality education for black youths.  It is now the headquarters for UMCOR's relief supply operations.
