Free to the public, The R.W. Norton Art Gallery is a non-profit museum which opened in 1966 featuring original works of American and European art. Through the years, the Norton has continued to expand its permanent collection and bring outstanding art exhibitions from all over the country to the greater Shreveport area. The Norton’s permanent collection is quite extensive, including more than 1250 works from Renaissance Old Masters to western iconoclasts to contemporary neo-realists.
