AmeriPure is a oyster processing company, based in Franklin, Louisiana, is one of America’s largest suppliers of half-shell Gulf oysters to grocery store chains and restaurants across America. Due to the BP Oil Disaster AmeriPure Oyster Company has temporarily closed its doors. More than 40 of their employees have been laid off as a result of this forced closure.
