"Sale on the Trail" is celebrated from Nacogdoches, TX to Natchitoches, LA. One of the most famous roadways in America has land owners and businesses along the way holding yard sales, flea markets, trade shows, sidewalk sales, and more providing a wonderful weekend of touring and shopping.

Held on the third weekend of August (Wed-Sun), the Delcambre Shrimp Festival honors the shrimping industry with events including a shrimp cook-off, queens' pageants, fais-do-do's, carnival rides, boat parade, food court and much more.
