Louisiana Cookin's 12th Annual Chefs to Watch Awards Event To Benefit Café Reconcile

Since 2001, Louisiana Cookin' has honored the Bayou State's most innovative and captivating chefs as Chefs to Watch. By using time-honored techniques and stellar local ingredients while infusing their personal style, they are Louisiana's culinary ambassadors and represent its delicious future.

 Our 2013 Chefs to Watch are:

Justin Girouard - The French Press, Lafayette  Michael Gulotta - August, New Orleans  Alex Harrell - Sylvain, New Orleans  Chris Wadsworth - Restaurant IPO, Baton Rouge  Bronwen Wyatt - La Petite Grocery, New Orleans

 This year's Chefs to Watch event will be held at the newly renovated Café Reconcile. The VIP reception begins at 6:00 p.m. and features passed hors d'oeuvres, champagne, a meet-and-greet with our 2013 chefs, and a preview of silent auction items. At 7:00 p.m. our winning chefs will present guests with tastes of their culinary specialties that will be accompanied with fine wines. The attire for the evening is Dressy Casual.

 Proceeds from the Chefs to Watch event support Café Reconcile so it can continue giving inner-city New Orleans youths the training they need to follow their culinary dreams.
