The second oldest fair in the State of La., the Cal-Cam Fair, brings together families from towns and rural communities in a two parish area during the best season of the year -- early fall -- to enjoy Cajun, country and pop music performed by well-known bands from the area...tasty treats from mostly local food vendors who depend on the fair to raise money for their church, school and clubs...some arts, crafts and trinkets...a pageant which gives mothers and fathers a chance to show off their girls from babies to high schoolers and those girls a chance to practice important skills as well as compete for the Miss Cal-Cam Fair and a Livestock Show that's been the tradition from the very beginning.
