8 different birding trips are planned over the weekend showcasing the birds that migrate from their winter vacation through Louisiana's coast. Over 150 species of birds have been seen in the past 17 Annual Great Louisiana BirdFests. Some trips involve pontoon boating, photo shoots, backyard gardens, private rookeries, and are held on a variety of habitats: flatlands, marshes and swamps, hardwood forest and pine savannahs.
