Property Description
Audubon State Historic Site, St. Francisville -Civil War Soldier Life- Zouaves!, 10AM-4 PM. Regiments dressed in the colorful flashy red and blue uniforms patterned after the French North African troops fought in every theatre of the Civil War. The program includes a Ranger led history of the Confederate Zouaves of Coppen's Battalion and Wheat's Tigers along with demonstrations of camp life, a talk on the uniforms of the units, and a black powder weapon demonstration.
