Forts Randolph and Buhlow State Historic Site, Pineville - Sesquicentennial Civil War Battle Reenactment, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. This is a Sesquicentennial Civil War battle reenactment of the actions around Alexandria/Pineville that were a part of the beginning of the Red River Campaign. This event is sponsored by the Alexandria/Pineville Convention and Visitor's Bureau. Friday is dedicated to multi-station school tours of the soldiers' encampment, and include infantry and artillery demonstrations. On Saturday and Sunday visitors can tour both the Union and Confederate encampments from 9 am until noon, and then a battle reenactment will be held at 1:00 pm each day.
