Port Hudson State Historic Site, Zachary - Native Guards Battlefield Tour, 10 a.m. For Black History Month and to highlight the museum's latest permanent exhibit, the Native Guard's battlefield diorama, Port Hudson SHS staff will conduct a tour of the Telegraph Road, where the 1st and 3rd Louisiana Native Guards fought on May 27, 1863. After a brief background, the guide will lead visitors on this 2.5 mile tour.
