Property Description

The City of Eunice, Louisiana's Praire Cajun Capital, is in the heart of the top crawfish producing area in the United States. Blessed with this natural resource, the World Championship Crawfish Etouffee Cook-off was started in 1986 to showcase our industry and local chefs. Held the last weekend of the month of March except when the last Sunday is Easter (this coming year's cook-off will be March 23-24, 2013). Teams compete to see who can cook the best crawfish etouffee (smothered crawfish) & celebrity and professional judges proclaim winners in three categories; Amateur, Professional and Club & Organization. Teams also vie for the best decorated Booth and the enteries get more creative every year. Live Bands perform for the listening and dancing pleasure of our visitors. There will be acitivites and events for children to participate in, so come on out and enjoy lots of food, fun and friends.
