Bogalusa Boat Club Races

Property Description

The details are a bit fuzzy, but the Bogalusa Boat Club was organized in the 1940s. Over 50 years ago, it hosted the First Annual Papermakers Regatta on Easter Sunday, 1956. Over time, interest faded, until two years ago. In 2011, the races returned to the Pearl River. Racers came from Texas, Florida, and Alabama in addition to those from the local area. They said if successful, races would be held again.

Well, races are scheduled for three weekends this year, June 1-2, July 27-28, & September 21-22, 2013. Spectators can witness the excitement once again. Just bring your own chair and sunscreen.

Hwy. 21 North from St. Tammany - turn right on Riverside Dr. to Richardson Landing. Hwy. 21 South from Hwy 10 East/West - turn left at Riverside Dr.
