Property Description
Nearly identical to the Cabildo, the Presbytere was built as a residence for the clergy at St. Louis Cathedral. Today, every day is Mardi Gras at the Presbytere museum. Elaborate costumes, colorful floats, historic photos capture the fun and frivolity of carnival in Louisiana. Also on view is the $7.5 million exhibition Living with Hurricanes: Katrina and Beyond offering an unforgettable experience of these powerful storms with eyewitness accounts, state-of-the-art video and rare artifacts.
