Delicious barbecue is just one of the Southwest Louisiana treats you will find at the Carlyss Cajun Bons Temps Festival held on the grounds of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Carlyss, 4822 Carlyss Dr., Friday-Sunday, Sept. 17-19.  This festival provides a wholesome atmosphere for the entire family to enjoy. Events include carnival rides, game booths, riveting live music to get your feet shuffling, a country store, auctions, a sweet shop, and of course, food booths!"For a two-stepping, jid-a-bugging good time with family and friends, come and join us for a weekend of fun,” said Art C. Little, festival chairman.Admission is free. Festival hours are 5 p.m.-10 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Sunday.  Bon Ton Idol, an open talent competition, will be held at 12 noon on Saturday. An outdoor Mass will be held at 4 p.m. No alcoholic beverages are allowed, but lawn chairs are welcome!
