Property Description
Louisiana's Old State Capitol is one of the most historic buildings in the state. It is where Louisiana voted to secede from the United States and where Gov. Huey Long was impeached. Today, the Gothic-style building tells the story of Louisiana's rich political history through lively and engaging exhibits--and the voice of a ghost. The building also is famous for its architecture, especially the stained glass dome and beautiful spiral staircase.
