Property Description

Located in northern Caddo Parish, the Louisiana State Oil and Gas Museum gives visitors a look into the discovery of oil and how the industry changed the region. The first oil drilling rig erected over water was in nearby Caddo Lake. Historic photos, films and artifacts document the rough and tumble days in the Oil Patch.
