Property Description
This Greek Revival structure dates to 1835 and served as a U.S. Mint and briefly as a Confederate mint during the Civil War. Permanent exhibits on the ground floor feature historic coin-making equipment and rare “N.O.” minted gold and silver coins. Other floors are devoted to Louisiana’s rich musical heritage, such as Louis Armstrong’s first cornet There’s live music nearly every day and evening at our new $4.5-million performance space.
