Property Description

The Louisiana State Exhibit Museum is housed in a unique, neo-classical style circa 1938 building. Colorful Conrad Albrizio frescoes adorn the grand entrance. The round design of the building provides a great showcase for exhibits on the history and development of Louisiana. A series of dioramas done by H.B. Wright depict life and commerce in the region. One of the museum's most precious artifacts is a cypress dugout attributed to the Caddo Indians and dating to 1065 A.D.
