Louisiana Recipes: Southern's Mouthwatering Pork Fingers
Louisiana loves their barbecue, and this pork finger recipe featuring Southern sauce is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.
Based in Jennings, Southern makes all sorts of sauces, rubs, and seasonings perfect for a tailgate cookout. Their classic Cajun Bar-B-Que sauce has been a favorite for around 50 years, but new products, like their basting sprays, are earning fans, too. We asked owner Drew Guinn to share one of his favorite game day recipes. Southern’s Louisiana Sweet Mesquite Grill-N-Que Rub
Southern’s Smokehouse Brown Sugar Grill-N-Que Sauce
Method of preparation:
Season pork fingers with Southern’s Louisiana Sweet Mesquite Grill-N-Que Rub. Chill in the refrigerator overnight. To cook, sear the pork fingers on a hot barbecue pit. Place meat in foil, then smother with Southern’s Smokehouse Brown Sugar Grill-N-Que Sauce. Cover the meat and let it cook on the opposite side of the flame (indirect heat) for approximately two to three hours. Check the pork periodically and remove from pit when the meat is tender.
