Property Description

Come explore the last vestige of Spanish Colonial Louisiana. Travel down highway 46 from New Orleans along scenic Bayou Terre-Aux-Beouf and you will find the Los Isleños Museum Complex. Our historical complex consists of 9 structures and Houma Indian Village on 30 acres including a nature trail.  The history and cultural traditions of the Isleños or Canary Islanders are interpreted throughout the complex. Canary Islanders were recruited by Bernardo de Galvez from Spain to colonize Louisiana.
