Property Description

Los Islenos Heritage and Cultural Society supports St. Bernard Parish Government in the development of Los Islenos Museum Complex. The Complex was devastated by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. It will again consist of 9 buildings and 30 acres of property including a nature trial. The history and cultural traditions of the Islenos or Canary Islanders who founded St. Bernard Parish will be interpreted in the Museum. Reconstruction of the museum Complex will be completed for Los Islenos Fiesta, 3/20-21/2010.
