Sorrento, LA 70778

Property Description

In 1992, Casa De Sue (a derivation of the Cazedessus name) became the first licensed winery in the state. Since then, the tiny operation has ripened into a business that produces 11 varieties of sweet and dry wines comprised of reds, whites and blends. In the 2014 growing season, the Cazedessus family produced 3,000 gallons. As testimony to the Cazedessus' commitment to quality, they grow all their grapes and blueberries organically.

The family sells Casa De Sue at fairs, festivals and farmers markets, though your best bet for finding a bottle may be at the Cajun Village in Sorrento. There, you can sample from their blends in the tasting room while checking out the intact circa 19th century village. It's a taste of Cajun Country like no other.
