The 1923 Kansas City Southern Railroad Depot is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  It has been authentically restored and houses the DeQuincy Railroad Museum.  Thousands of railroad artifacts are on display and outside on the grounds a 1913 steam locomotive, two cabooses and a 1947 passenger coach are present.  The museum has a large waiting room which is available for events and is the site of the Louisiana Railroad Days Festival held annually on the 2nd weekend in April.
