Jean Lafitte National Park & Preserve Prairie Acadian Cultural Center
A unit of the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve, the center tells the story of the Acadians who settled the prairie region of southwest Louisiana. Extensive exhibits and artifacts interpreting the history, language, music, and architecture of the Cajuns. Music, crafts and cooking demonstrations every Saturday. Wide assortment of publications and recorded music, as well as children's books and crafts available for purchase. Free admission.
