Venice Guide Service
Venice Charters, LLC.
Venice is located approximately 1 ½ hours South of New Orleans. Venice, Louisiana has been voted by ESPN as the Sport Fishing Capital of the United States. Venice is the end of the road, budding into the Mississippi River and is square in the middle of the richest fishing grounds in North America. The Venice area offers World Class light inshore tackle fishing for speckled trout, redfish, and flounder. Offshore fishing in Venice is World Class and in less than 6 miles from the mouth of the Mississippi you have 400 feet of water. Venice is a year round fishery that allows the angler the opportunity to catch trophy speckled trout, sight cast for redfish in the marsh ponds, the opportunity to catch bull reds on light tackle, flounder, tarpon and world class off-shore action. We provide first class trips for the novice, the family, the hardcore trophy angler or corporate outings.
I want to sincerely thank you for visiting my website and hope we can share some aquatic adventures together, Capt. Rok!
Captain Rok, is specializing on inshore fishing charters in the estuaries of Venice, Louisiana.
On a normal fishing trip we leave the dock at safe light traveling the delta where you see plenty of wildlife and wetlands on the way to the fishing grounds. We will primarily target speckled trout and redfish whichever is biting the best and conditions are best suitable for. But that doesn't stop us from taking huge freshwater catfish, largemouth bass, flounder, black drum, sheepshead and even the occasional striped bass. The limit for speckled trout is 25 per person and the limit for redfish is 5 per person with only 1 over 27 per person. Once you are satisfied with your day of fishing we will then head back to the marina where Venice Marina offers the finest fish cleaning service I've ever experienced, vacuum sealing and shipping for your catch.
Every day on the water in Venice, Louisiana is a great day and I am sure you enjoy the experience!
My name is Louis Rossignol, 'The Rok' and I've been fishing the estuaries of Louisiana since I was old enough to hold a rod and reel. I caught the massive 8 ½ lb. spec., pictured above when I was only 5 years old. As you can see from my picture I'm also sort of a trophy hunter, the same attitude I carry over into my fishing, however I do it. I am also a 31 year veteran of the infamous Hell Divers Spearfishing Club, and have won several State Titles, Rodeos and Club Competitions as well as currently holding Louisiana State and North American Records. I feel my underwater experience gives me a unique perspective as to what the fish are doing.
The water is my home, and I take my fishing very serious, but how serious we take it together is entirely up to you.
I also hold a USCG 100TON Masters License and your safety is my utmost concern.
We will fish out of a Skeeter 24ft. ZX bay boat, powered by a 250 4 Stroke Yamaha.
The Skeeter provides a safe, smooth, dry, comfortable ride. We'll get to the best fishing grounds while riding in style.
It is equipped with a 80lb. thrust motor guide trolling motor so we can quietly approach schools of Redfish. In addition, a 480 Lowrance GPS, Hydraulic Jackplate and a Powerpole hydraulic anchor make this boat perfect for the fishing here in Venice.
-New Shimano rods and reels
-Ice and Ice Chest to Store Drinks and Food
* Venice Marina offers fish cleaning, vacuum sealing, and shipping.
*If you want live bait, you will have to purchase it and I do have 3 live wells to keep it lively.
