Downtown Baton Rouge
We sold out all races in 2017 because our event is more than a race; it's a festival and a culturally rich one at that! Louisiana is well known for its festivals, where we celebrate with food, music, and dancing. The Louisiana Marathon adds running to that mix for a truly unforgettable weekend. Come run a fast, flat, and fun race course and then enjoy a true Louisiana Festival featuring local musicians, locally brewed craft beer, and some of the best southern cuisine around.
The Louisiana Marathon was established in 2012 to be a major racing event on the winter road racing calendar and running festival celebrating the passion for the sport combined with the Louisiana culture.
Rendezvous7 is scheduled for January 12-14, 2018 and will be the seventh annual running of The Louisiana Marathon. It will take place in Louisiana's capitol city, Baton Rouge. This multi-race format has a distance for everyone. Participants can choose from a full, a half, a quarter marathon, a 5K, and a kids marathon (1.2 miles).
Friends, family, and curious spectators line up along the 26.2 picturesque miles of roadways filled with inspiring sights and sounds to cheer on the many that chose to run. The Louisiana Marathon course takes runners from downtown, along the river, through the University Lakes, the Louisiana State University campus, and through historic river town neighborhoods.
