The annual Black Heritage Festival will be held March 4-6 and feature live entertainment, mouthwatering food, and great family fun. The festival brings together the cultures of Africa and Southwest Louisiana and highlights the best in the community.  Celebrating diversity, culture and education, the festival is filled with legendary Zydeco, Jazz, R&B and Gospel performers.


Saturday's events will take place at the Lake Charles Civic Center, 900 Lakeshore Drive, and will include a Baby Expo/Healthy Baby Contest, Vendor's Expo, Africana Culture Performances Extravaganza, Zydeco Aerobics, a Hall of Fame Ceremony, educational workshops, magic shows and much more.  Food booths in the Interactive Experience will serve plenty of tasty Louisiana Creole and traditional African-American foods, including gumbo, jambalaya and barbecue.  For more information, visit
