July 4th in Lake Charles
A patriotic celebration lights the sky – and the lake – during the July 4th celebration in Lake Charles
Stars and stripes forever, as far as the eye can see! The 17th annual Red, White, Blue and You festival salutes Old Glory and the many troops, veterans and forefathers who have helped Americans gain and retain independence.
This patriotic festival has been voted one of the Top 20 Events for the month of July by the Southeastern Tourism Society. Celebrate your liberty and freedom by participating in the exciting festivities.
The events actually begin in late June, with the Southwest Louisiana Patriots Ball, presented by the Mayor's Armed Forces Commission in the Lake Charles Civic Center. (For tickets contact the American Patriot Store at www.lcpatriot.com or 337-433-4083.)
On July 4, get ready for the Red White Blue & You Street Parade, with entertainment at the Lake Charles Civic Center Amphitheatre in the evening, and a traditional patriotic concert, featuring a salute to armed forces. A fireworks extravaganza over shimmering Lake Charles follows the entertainment. Sit back, relax and be dazzled by the glittering display of color against the star-studded sky. Buy the T-shirt, wave a complimentary flag, sing along and enjoy the selection of great food!
