This award-winning festival attracts 130,000 plus visitors who come to listen and enjoy the national and local entertainment, sometimes international too, offered in downtown, historic Gretna.
They take pleasure as well from eating the best diverse food offered on the West Bank of the Mississippi River across from New Orleans. The Gretna Heritage Festival continues to attract all cultures, as there is a lot of eating and dancing going on in designated cultural villages
Arts and Crafts Vendors are set up for one to purchase that special memory to take home. A Carnival attracts the youngsters with its rides and games.
